MIRACULOUS EVENTS IN THE BIBLE
Introduction
The significance of miracles in the Bible:
The significance of miracles in the Bible is that they reveal to us how HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD.
In Jesus’ ministry, even until today; it reveals that He is approved of God, as written in the book of Act 2:22 “Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:”
(*Note: At the end of this blog, you’ll find additional footnotes shared by myself and others. These include personal revelations, testimonies, and Bible verse references inspired by this blog. Feel free to explore them for deeper insight and reflection—and if you’d like to share your own, I’d love to include it as a blessing for others!*)
The Purpose of this Paper:
### The Impartation of the Gift of Faith
Hearing about Biblical miracles releases the manifestation of the Gift of Faith. As Paul beautifully states in Romans 10:17 (KJV): *“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”*
The words of Jesus are unlike those of any human. When Jesus spoke, His words were not merely natural, audible sounds, even though they could be heard by His audience. His words carried a deeper essence. As He declared in John 6:63 (KJV):
*“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”*
When I listen to the Bible through my Bible App, I feel an impartation of the Spirit of the Word of God—a true manifestation of the Gift of Faith. Reflecting on my journey as a new believer over 30 years ago, I recall how I immersed myself in the Word, often listening to the Audio Bible while baking at work, and even during sleep. Those moments were transformative, filled with extraordinary encounters with the Spirit of the Word of God.
Recently, my hunger for hearing His Word has grown exponentially. I now listen to Scripture for hours each day—while working, cleaning, and even sleeping. The Spirit of the Word comes alive through this constant hearing, filling my heart and mind in incredible ways. As Jesus said in Mark 4:14 (KJV):
*“The sower soweth the word.”*
This leads to an important question: *Who is the Sower of the Word of God?*
Through prayer and reflection, the Lord revealed that the Holy Ghost is the One who sows the Word of God into the soil of our hearts. Jesus affirmed this in John 14:26 (KJV):
*“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”*
However, we also have a part to play. We must make the intentional effort to hear the Word of God. Personally, I find time throughout my day to listen to Scripture, and I encourage you to do the same. Whether through audio or reading, you can deepen your relationship with the Lord by immersing yourself in His Word.
If you’re seeking a closer connection to Jesus, I wholeheartedly recommend hearing the Word of God frequently. Pray as you listen—pray for the nations, for guidance, and for understanding. This practice can become a deeply intimate form of fellowship with the Lord.
### A Call to Action
Below, I’ve included selected Bible verses for you to read and meditate on. As you engage with them, invite the Lord into your time of study and fellowship. Ask Him to reveal His truths and impart the Gifts of the Holy Spirit as you seek deeper revelation.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing, not by having heard.

4 And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live.
5 And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.

"I'm especially moved today as I prayerfully reflect on the story of the widow. *(Here’s the context from my blog: **The Widow's Oil**—Elisha performed a miracle to multiply the widow’s oil, enabling her to pay her debts and live on the remainder. 2 Kings 4:1-7)*:
*"6 And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed."*
*"7 Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest."*
This passage is a prophetic reminder of the Lord’s unwavering power and willingness to meet our needs: *“My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19, KJV).* He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, unchanging in His faithfulness.
I see in this miraculous event a testimony of how Jesus, our Savior, is able to supernaturally remove debt and provide for our needs by His riches in glory. (On a side note, it's also interesting to see the prophetic aspect of the oil which is a representation of The Anointing, and it's relationship to Jesus The Anointed One.) This truth came to life through a powerful testimony from a missionary friend of mine in China. She was burdened by a $20,000 credit card debt incurred while serving as a translator for English-speaking preachers traveling to various cities in China—expenses she bore entirely on her own. The financial strain had become overwhelming.
I shared with her the story of Elisha and the widow as a prophetic promise of God’s provision. Inspired by this, she felt her faith renewed, trusting that the Lord would intervene. Only a week later, she called me with incredible news: while accompanying a friend to the ATM, she decided to check her credit card balance. To her astonishment, it showed $0.00! Overjoyed, she inquired with a bank teller, who confirmed that the balance had been paid in full—by someone appearing to be her. She hadn’t made the payment herself and didn’t know who did, but we believe it was her angel, sent by the Lord to settle the debt miraculously. We praised God for His goodness and shared this testimony to encourage others.
This story affirms that the Lord is truly able to remove burdens and supply all our needs according to His riches in glory. Praise the Lord! Thank You, Jesus, and Heavenly Father!
