**HOSTING THE PRESENCE OF GOD**
*April 17, 2023 | Heaven on Earth*
This morning, as I lay awake in bed, the Lord began ministering to me about **hosting His Presence**. I felt deeply impressed that we are called to be **stewards of the Presence of God**, a sacred responsibility we should approach with reverence and intentionality.
(*Note: At the end of this blog, you’ll find additional footnotes shared by myself and others. These include personal revelations, testimonies, and Bible verse references inspired by this blog. Feel free to explore them for deeper insight and reflection—and if you’d like to share your own, I’d love to include it as a blessing for others!*)
When we walk in close relationship with the Lord, we experience His **Manifest Presence** in profound, tangible ways—just as Moses did. It is by His grace that we are able to encounter Him in this way. The Lord longs for us to desire His Presence consciously and deeply, as Moses so beautifully expressed: *"If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence."* (Exodus 33:15)
His Presence is not only within us—it is with us. The Lord goes before us in every endeavor, preparing the way as we pray in faith. Even now, as I write these words, I sense His Manifest Presence increasing, affirming and blessing this message.
### **The Tent of Meeting**
The Tabernacle, or the Tent of Meeting, beautifully exemplifies God’s desire to dwell among His people.
*"And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, that every one which sought the LORD went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp."* (Exodus 33:7)
In this sacred space, as Moses entered, the cloudy pillar of God’s Presence descended, and the Lord spoke with Moses *"face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend"* (Exodus 33:11). This awe-inspiring relationship foreshadowed the intimacy that God desires to have with all of us.
### **Moses' Intercession**
Moses’ intercession reminds us of the grace and favor we receive when we seek the Lord wholeheartedly.
*"And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence."* (Exodus 33:14-15)
This dialogue between Moses and God reflects the heart of what it means to host His Presence: to long for Him above all else and to live set apart by the assurance of His companionship.
### **A New Covenant Reality**
I have personally experienced the cloud of His Glory manifesting during times of prayer and even visibly during church services. These moments of divine encounter affirm that the Lord has not changed. As He spoke to Moses in the Old Covenant, He still speaks to His people today.
Yet, as New Covenant believers, we are blessed with a **better covenant, founded on better promises**. Through Christ, we have direct and unbroken access to the Presence of God—a privilege far beyond what Moses knew.
May we always seek to host His Presence with reverence and gratitude, stewarding this incredible gift as faithful servants of the Kingdom.
Please share your reflections in the comments below! How has hosting the Lord’s Presence touched your life? What moments of encountering His glory have been most meaningful to you? Your testimony could uplift and inspire others on their faith journey. Let’s encourage one another!
Blessings to you all.
